About Margo

I am an arts educator and artist based in Calgary, Alberta, committed to making visual arts accessible and engaging for all. With a Master’s Degree in Educational Research from the University of Calgary, I am interested in how children and youth learn to engage with Modern, Postmodern, and Contemporary art. My experience includes designing and facilitating age-appropriate experiential workshops and programs in galleries, museums, and educational settings.

I believe that art has the power to enrich our lives and should be available to everyone—whether you’re an art enthusiast or someone who finds contemporary art a bit perplexing (I count myself in both groups!). Making and looking at art fosters creativity, self-expression, and new ways of seeing the world. Through engagement with art, we develop visual literacy, critical thinking, and perspective taking. These are vital skills for the complex world we live in today.

When I’m not immersed in the arts, I enjoy baking and spending time with my four chickens.
